Archaeological Digs in the Jewish Quarter since the Six Day War (1967)

The reunification of the city of Jerusalem opened the opportunity for extensive digs, uncovering thousands of years of the dynamic history of the city. We’ll walk in the footsteps of what was found. Included will be a tower and wall from the time of the First Temple, remains of mansions from the Second Temple period, a Roman bathhouse, and a Byzantian road- the Cardo that ran across the heart of the city.
